I live in Poulsbo, WA with my handsome husband and our three children (Elliot, Evangeline, and Albert). If I’m not taking or editing photos, you will find me wrestling with Elliot, reading Dino books to Evie, staring into Alby’s big blue eyes, gardening, trying a new NYC cooking recipe, or smooching Daniel... My journey with photography started during a transformative trip to Kenya, where I discovered my passion for storytelling through images. I found that photography can take the hard edges of life and reveal tenderness. Since then, my camera has been my constant companion. My editorial style brings together natural lighting and the raw emotion that defines the human experience. From vibrant movement to candid laughter, I am successful when an image brings together both the speakable and unspeakable beauties of life.
August 20, 2019. It was quite the journey for us to get to “I do!” Daniel and I love telling people that “dating is horrible, marriage is phenomenal” (we broke up a few times…). Sometimes you and I can grab coffee and I can tell you about how two broken people can still make something beautiful together. We got married on a Tuesday, surrounded by our favorite people, my grandmother brought 25 berry pies, our friends grilled bacon cheese burgers, we rented in a giant bouncy house for our mini guests, and then woke-up way to early for honeymoon #1 in Costa Rica. Honeymoon #2 was in a PNW treehouse. Half a decade and 3 kids later, we wouldn’t do it any different!
I'm a film + digital wedding photographer based out of Seattle. I am Snuneymuwx First Nation and Filipina. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest on Bainbridge Island. I spend most of my time a ferry boat ride away from Seattle in a small town. I often travel for my clients and am willing to go anywhere to document your love story! Some of my favorite places I've traveled to are Turkey and Iceland.
My love for photography began in high school in my film + darkroom class. I would immerse myself in the darkroom as much as possible. I always had my camera on me and was always experimenting with light, film. and color. I was inspired by old movies, music, the human experience, and my grandmother's photos she took all over the world. These things still inspire me, and I truly believe they help me be the wedding photographer that I am. Seeing the beauty in the little things, creating everything with heart and intention, and understanding what it is like to be human.
With over a decade behind the camera, Heather brings both experience and heart to every wedding she photographs. A Minnesota native and mother of three (soon to be four), she has a deep appreciation for the beautiful seasons of life and the meaningful moments that deserve to be remembered.
Her approach is rooted in documenting genuine connection, joyful emotion, and the in-between moments that often become the most treasured memories. Known for helping couples feel comfortable and fully present, she blends a calm, attentive presence with an artistic eye for authentic storytelling.
When she’s not photographing, you can find her soaking up time with her own crew, embracing the beautiful chaos that continues to shape her passion for documenting love in its most honest form.
